About this Image
Shot in Sao Paulo State in Guara. A lady walks along a road in the small town of Guara in Brazil sheltering from the midday sun. The soil in this Northern part of Sao Paulo State is rich in Iron Oxide causing the red/orange hue seen all over this part of Brazil. As the Climate is hot and dry this causes the fine red soil to travel on the wind coating roads, walls and cars. Brazil is the 2nd largest producer of Iron Ore and operates the largest Iron Ore mine in the World.
