Image Creation

The idea of the image is about positive thinking in the face of adversity.

The image is made up of several elements. The landscape is at Seven Sisters at Seaford in Sussex which was shot several times. I felt the cliffs were too small in the frame so used a separate shot to bring them forward in the frame slightly. A rough track was shot in the same location and then dropped in as well as a previous shot of a sunset.

The painter is actually my Father who posed for me in the garden on Christmas Day. The van and paint pots were separate photographs which were dropped in place with Photoshop.

Finally, the image was colour graded to form one cohesive image. I always like to inject a bit of humour into my images so I decided to pop the seagull on top of the paint pole which I shot on Brighton seafront!
